(click on the images to see a larger version) Introduction
When I started using Photoshop I had trouble colour correcting them. I did a little research and found this method. I did have to play around with the settings to get the results I was looking for. I changed the Eyedropper Tool measurement settings. The other thing I changed was the background colour. I was using a black background, but when I changed it to Neutral Grey they looked to me to be much better. The results of this prestigious annual event are now out and several Club members had acceptances with one (George Hay with "Global") achieving a Judge's Award and a full score of 15 points for his "Global" image. Overall the Club gained 7 acceptances and achieved 7th place (out of 26) in the Projected Digital Images section, though we weren't as successful in the two print sections. Below are some of our accepted entries - click on each for a larger version. Our 7 acceptances were:
"Strive For The Light" from Alistair Birnie "Dining Out", "Global" and "Watching" from George Hay "Seaside Garden" from Sandy Mcintosh "The Watcher" from John Thom "Leaves" from Doug Winton The 5th summer challenge's theme was "Orange but not oranges". The results were: in 1st place, George Hay with his "Orange Smoke", 2nd place was held by Alistair Birnie with "Orange-7" and in 3rd place was Len Findlay with "Deconstructed"
